Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes — completely free, no account required. There's a fair-use rate limit to keep the service available for everyone.
Which subtitle formats are supported?
SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, SUB, PDF, Word (DOCX), and images (JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, TIFF). The translated file is returned in the same format (scanned PDFs and images are exported as DOCX), with timing and layout preserved.
Does it keep the timing correct?
Yes. Only the spoken text is translated. All timestamps, line breaks, and formatting tags remain exactly as in the original.
How many languages can I translate to?
Currently 20 languages, including Arabic, English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and more.
Are my files stored?
No. Files are processed in memory and never saved to disk. Once your translation is returned, nothing is kept.
